We truly cannot say enough amazing things about our realtor Joanne Tienchai. As first-time homebuyers the process felt overwhelming at times, but she made everything understandable, manageable, and even exciting.My husband and I felt discouraged at times because of how challenging the market is, but Joanne assured us we would find something that was meant for us and would not allow us to settle. We searched for three straight summers, saw nearly 50 houses, and submitted multiple offers before finally finding our amazing home late last year. Summary: Joanne assisted with a sell and buy in quick succession, both of which required swift closes. We have a dynamite experience working with her and would do so again in a heartbeat.Highlights:- Joanne is very organized. Everything was structured and coordinated programmatically. - Prompt and direct communication. If you’re looking for a realtor who is going to roll over and show their belly, that’s NOT Joanne. Why would you want this though? Good partnerships challenge one another and Joanne is an expert in her field. She offered excellent feedback but always met us where we were too. A great balance.- Tough but thoughtful. Joanne had no issues coming in with lower offers that were within reasonable margins of a CMA. She has strong negotiating instincts. That said, she’s not a jerk either and said multiple times that she believes in doing “ what’s fair “. We couldn’t have agreed more and that made for a great partnership. - Learns her clients. This is so key. Joanne is very observant. She mixes questions with what she sees. This helped her match our style and make recommendations at the right time.- Hard worker. She is not a lazy person. She was always on regardless of the hour. Finally, she gave us very thoughtful gifts for both transactions.She’s a five star real-estate agent and you’d be foolish not to partner with her.

Joanne was excellent during our house search and guided us with us through several unsuccessful offers and frustrating experiences as first time buyers in a hot market. Without her input, I would have just given up disappointed and annoyed. We ultimately bought a place in an area I didn’t want to see but Joanne was sure would meet what we were looking for. She was correct in that.My partner and I are now extremely happy with our purchase and new neighborhood.She was very available and highly knowledgeable about the local area, we often toured places multiple times per week with her. She was also incredibly realistic and had constructive feedback when considering a place. On multiple occasions, she actually encouraged restraint, in that she felt it wasn’t worth going too far over even if it was possible to sell at that price in the market, instead of pushing us or just trying to get a deal closed. We strongly feel she genuinely wants the best for her clients and would happily recommend her to friends or family. We are tremendously grateful to have worked with her this year.

Joanne did a fantastic job helping us find a home. She came highly recommended by another realtor of ours and she did not let us down!! My wife and I came to her with very specific requirements that we needed in a new home. Specifically, a wheelchair accessible home. She was very knowledgably about our situation as she went through the same in her personal life. Joanne was very knowledgeable of the area that we were looking to move (Elgin/Algonquin). She was very proactive in the search! She communicated very well and was often available for calls late at night. We ran into some issues at the closing with the sellers and she was on it like a hawk! She made sure we that we got compensated appropriately. It took about 2 weeks until we found the perfect home and we could not be more pleased!!My wife and I would absolutely use her again and would not hesitate to recommend her to friends and family. We were very nervous with the move and trying to find a place to rent. We were very unfamiliar with the city and all the neighborhoods. Even though we had to do all of our tours virtually, she was able to give so much detail about each location and the neighborhood.
